ViewPoint Hotel

Million dollar views and a low key luxury atmosphere! We stayed in Room 104, which has two bedrooms with king beds, two full baths, a small kitchen, a living room and a balcony with room for four. The views are breathtaking - the pictures don’t do it justice. Close, unimpeded views of Nubble Light House and the ocean. If you never left your room and just sat outside admiring the ocean, you’d have a great trip. This is not a traditional hotel - it’s more of a blend between an AirBNB and a hotel. I like it - but if you need constant amenities like room service, this may not be for you. The decor is minimal coastal - perfect for the setting. I had no problem getting help from staff if we needed it - all were very friendly and happy to take care of whatever we needed. The saltwater pool was just steps away from our room; there are pool towels and pool noodles available to float. We did not eat at the hotel or sister hotels, but everyone who did said food was good. The hotel is in close walking distance of several places to eat - and within a mile of Long Sands and Short Sands beaches. Loved having an in room washer and dryer. There were cool offerings like morning oceanside yoga, private art lessons and a complimentary wine tasting (with non-alcoholic options - which is very thoughtful). If the only complaint is the coffee offering - it’s like a teabag and not great - we’re in good shape. Bring a travel pour over set and you’ll be all set - or borrow a complimentary bike & head into the Short Sands side to several good coffee shops. The amazing view will keep you from getting too mad about anything! In a day and age where nothing is cheap, this is 100 percent worth it. Can’t wait to come back.

The location of this gorgeous hotel overlooking the Atlantic and Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse can't be beat. We planned a quick getaway in the bitter cold month of January and chose the Viewpoint for location and room amenities. Our suite included a bedroom with an incredibly comfortable mattress and pillows. The kitchenette was fully stocked for whatever you might need. The furnishings in the living area boasted a great leather sofa, an 'office' area and a dining table in a bow window offering amazing views of the ocean. The rooms were filled with light but with an easy pull of the shades you could have complete privacy. We did not use the patio outside of our room but noted it was well designed and could imagine cocktails in the evening or breakfast while watching the sunrise. The grounds are lovely---even in the winter! We recommend trying out a few winter days at the Viewpoint where quiet, serene moments are yours to enjoy!

We stayed at the Viewpoint in an Upper Shoreside Room with a spectacular view of Maine's rocky coast and Nubble Lighthouse. Our room was very private which was important because the entire wall was one big window. I noticed when I walked around the grounds that the Lower Shoreside rooms are not as private and anyone who walks down to the oceanside terrace would be able to look directly into your room. If you want total privacy and solitude I recommend the Upper Rooms. Our stay was lovely, and the staff was very attentive and available anytime we needed something. When we arrived, we were offered complimentary glasses of prosecco and then walked down to our room. A staff member showed us how to operate the lights and motorized shades. This was a nice touch and made us feel really special. The room was very modern and looked recently updated. It did feel a little cave-like but to be fair it is actually built into the side of the hillside so technically I guess it is somewhat of a cave. The bathroom is beautiful with a very fancy shower. (the switch for the bathroom fan is in the closet! Took us a minute but we found it!) There was a small leak at the bottom of the shower so anytime we showered a small puddle formed on the floor near the sitting area. Other than that everything seemed to be in good condition and fairly new. The floors are beautiful sealed concrete (I think) and I regretted not bringing my slippers. I'm sure the cool floors feel like heaven on a hot summer day. The bed was very comfortable and there were good-quality pillows. Loved the Frame TV, perfect choice for a room with such a big window. Overall our stay was close to perfection and would love to come back when the weather is warmer so we can take advantage of the outdoor space.

It goes without saying, the view is epic! But, so was the clean and bright room very tastefully decorated. You can easily stay comfortably for many days with the fully equipped kitchen and in room laundry. We will come again in the summer months to enjoy the pool and auk bar!

I had the chance to stay at this lovely property for a quick business trip that I had to take to the area. My conference was at the Cliff House Maine, and they were sold out - so I found this property local and I totally lucked out. The property is stunning, and I was there in off season! The grounds are immaculate, the staff are so kind and accommodating, and the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Although I was traveling for business, I felt like this was a vacation and was eager to return to my room (oasis) each evening. Do not miss the chance to stay here! I plan to return and enjoy their expansion efforts with a new spa facility, and to enjoy the property in the warmer months. They also have two other properties local with restaurants as well -- I am adding them to my list too!

One of my favorite places to stay in New England. I am a traveling wedding vendor and I go throughout New England every weekend throughout the year. I stumbled upon this place about 8 years ago while working a wedding. I have came back every year since. I have enjoyed watching it develop and expand. The rooms are immaculate and every single one has a beautiful view of the Nubble light house. You can walk down to the light house or drive. If you’re looking to get married, this is definitely one of my all time favorite spots, I would suggest any bride to come here ! Perfect for Couples wanting a romantic get away, or even friends wanting a large space to settle in after having fun in Ogunquit. (Ogunquit is about a 10-15 min drive)
